I am a little disappointed this week because I actually gained 1lb
The thing is I can make up all the excuses in the world but it comes down to me making bad choices. The biggest issue is my eating. When I returned to work there were tons of sweets left from the holidays and luckily they are almost done. Also, before break I had successfully weaned myself off of caffeine and soda. When Ant got sick I had a relapse.
My other lame excuse was it was DH’s birthday this week, so we ended up have a large breakfast and dinner out. To add to the bad eating my Winter Concert was last night, so we ended up having pizza for dinner. These food choices definitely didn’t help me reach my weight goal.
There are my excuses but now they are my motivation to actually lose weight this week!
1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal. (BMI info from this website)
Starting BMI: 24.7
Starting weight: 158
Last Week’s Weight: 158
Current Weight:159 (so far +1lb)
Goal Weight : 143
Last Week’s BMI: 24.7
Current BMI:24.9
Goal BMI: 22.4
2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals.
- Start by exercising every day. (I actually did a decent job with this. I exercised almost everyday. Also I started my couch to 5K on Saturday. Today is going to be my final day of week 1.)
- Add more veggies to my diet. (need to do this more and make better snack food choices)
- Making more meals at home! (I am getting better at this but this week was hard due to DH’s birthday.)
- Adding some running to my exercise routine. (Yup!)
3. Try to motivate others to join in on trying to lose weight
I am going to try to get DH to join me. We can motivate each other
. DH actually started working out more. YEAH!
Bloggers I follow that are participating:

If you want to join in just leave me a comment, so I can follow your progress too!
4. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I’ve tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.
Currently, I am feeling lost in this section. I would love to talk about my weight loss or share a picture of my weight loss but there isn’t much to share since I haven’t lost any weight. I need to stop being so hard on myself because some good things are going on, such as my exercise routine is getting better. BABY STEPS!
