Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In: Week 4

This week was very successful!  I discovered a great new app/website to help track my calories.  As you will see below it has help get me on track to my weight loss goal!

1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal. (BMI info from this website)

Starting BMI: 24.7
Starting weight: 158

Last Week’s Weight: 158
Current Weight:157 (so far -1lb but -2lbs this week!)
Goal Weight : 143

Last Week’s BMI: 24.7
Current BMI:24.6
Goal BMI: 22.4

2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals.

  1. Start by exercising every day.  (I actually did a decent job with this.  I exercised almost everyday.  I finished week 1 of couch to 5K but have realized I am not ready for week 2 yet.  This week I am going to do week 1 for a second week to make sure I am ready to move on.)
  2. Add more veggies to my diet. (Doing much better with this!)
  3. Making more meals at home! (Great!  Only at out 2 twice this week.)
  4. Adding some running to my exercise routine. (Yup!)
  5. Use My Fitness Pal to track my calories and exercise (just started this and it has really helped!) If you would to join me.  My username is horn5378.

3. Try to motivate others to join in on trying to lose weight

DH has kinda joined me by default because I am cooking more and eating at home more often.  Also, my MIL has joined in also!!  Go TEAM!!!

Bloggers I follow that are participating:
If you want to join in just leave me a comment, so I can follow your progress too!Josey (of course) @ My Cheap Version of Therapy who is post partum

Bridget @ The Lost Stork who is post partum
Holly G @ Holly G and Co. who is post partum after #2

4. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I’ve tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.

This week I have discovered Craisins!  I have found if you add them to your salad it is like eating candy with your salad :)  This is what I do:

About 1cup of Spinach or Spring Mix
Sprinkle on some Craisins
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar
Salt and Pepper to taste
